If a student suspects that a fire is on, he is to inform a member of staff. The member of staff should evaluate the situation and sound the fire alarm if deemed necessary. OTHER EMERGENCY: In the event of another type of emergency, the DMS will e l e the situation and decide on the best course of action ANNOUNCEMENT: Once the alarm goes off, the recognized evacuation procedure will start. The predefined emergency exit routes are to be used to avoid overcrowding of exits. If a specific area of the building is determined to be unsafe for any reason, the DMS may choose to give directions for alternative exits.
